Corequisites

  • Written Competence in Japanese (EAST2101).

Aims

  • (i) To increase students' ability in using the language orally/aurally.
  • (ii) To reinforce grammar.
  • (iii) To make students aware of Japanese in particular social situations.

Content

  • An advanced module in modern spoken Japanese emphasizing the language as it is spoken by adults in a variety of social situations.
  • 3 hours per week on different skills: conversation, idiomatic and honorific speech, grammar reinforced with CALL.
