Aims

  • To describe the traditional history and culture of Korea before 1910, drawing attention to Korea's interaction with both China and Japan and considering important cultural features in terms of Korean independence and openness to foreign influence.

Content

  • Outlines of Korean political history and social institutions from the 4th century AD to 1910.The relationship between Korea and (a) China, (b) Japan.
