  • Chinese Option II (EAST2441) or equivalent.

Aims

  • This module will further enhance the basic Chinese language skills as introduced in Chinese Option I/ II.
  • It is expected that over the year a student will develop higher level core language skills in the fields of reading, writing and speaking Chinese.
  • By the completion of Chinese Option III, a student will be able to read and write a minimum of 1,000 Chinese characters with complementary vocabulary.

Content

  • This module will be textbook based.
  • The first hour will introduce the core grammatical concepts for the given week.
  • The second hour will practise conversational dialogues using the new grammatical expressions.
