Prerequisites

  • Spoken Competence in Japanese (EAST2111) AND Written Competence in Japanese (EAST2101) (or comparable language ability).

Corequisites

  • None.

Excluded Combination of Modules

  • Any previous Japanese modules.

Aims

  • This module emphasises oral and written Japanese at the highest level.
  • It is designed to complement text reading options taken in the final year of the degree programme.
  • The spoken component is emphasised through various types of presentations and activities which are assessed.

Content

  • The most advanced module in Japanese.
  • All aspects of the modern language will be studied, although the module content will be determined to a large extent by the interests of the students.
