- Chinese Option II (EAST2441) or equivalent.

Aims
- This module will further enhance the basic Chinese language skills as introduced in Chinese Option I/ II.
- It is expected that over the year a student will develop higher level core language skills in the fields of reading, writing and speaking Chinese.
- By the completion of Chinese Option III, a student will be able to read and write a minimum of 1,000 Chinese characters with complementary vocabulary.
Content
- This module will be textbook based.
- The first hour will introduce the core grammatical concepts for the given week.
- The second hour will practise conversational dialogues using the new grammatical expressions.
