Aims
- To introduce the literary and linguistic features of representative Ming and Qing fiction.
Content
- Students will be required: to read in Chinese chapters from three representative works of Ming and Qing fiction, to read in English the rest of the novels studied and other specified works, to familiarise themselves with the principal Western works of literary criticism on Ming and Qing fiction.
