Aims

  • The module consolidates work done in Arabic II.
  • To ensure that students are able to read and understand a wide range of modern Arabic texts.

Content

  • The syllabus comprises a range of modern Arabic texts, including both literary and non-literary material.
  • The emphasis is on topic-based reading of non-fiction materials related to the contemporary Middle East and includes translation, precis and analytical work.
