Aims
- To train students in the art and practice of sound synthesis and signal processing using the resources of the electroacoustic music studios.
Content
- Students are introduced to a broad range of analogue and digital techniques with a view to their application for composition by the systematic practical study of the folowing subjects:
- the capture and processing of acoustic sound sources using analogue and digital recording systems;
- the synthesis of sounds by digital mans, including both additive and FM methods;
- the use of analogue and digital signal processors to shape and modify source material of both natural and synthetic origin;
- the techniques of MIDI.
