Aims

  • To increase the understanding of a chosen genre or repertoire by means of independent investigation.
  • To develop skills in analysing, assessing and communicating the musical content and context.
  • To improve practical skills required to execute the above objectives in performance

Content

  • Practical training in workshops: to increase the ability to assess one's own performance in public and to improve it within limited time and resources. This introduces a professional learning environment.
  • Performance Discussions: To ensure clearly articulated musical as well as verbal communication of ideas. The devlopment of an ability to link between theory and practice.
