Content
- The module will provide an opportunity to read texts from fiction, non-fiction and media.
- These texts will provide the basis for students to engage in discussions to develop their ability to explain, describe, narrate and explore.
- These texts will provide the basis for students to produce written work which uses standard English.

- By the end of the module students will have acquired the knowledge to be able to:
- Communicate clearly, adapting their talk to different situations, using Standard English.
- Participate in discussions.
- Read a variety of texts making appropriate references to them and select material appropriate to their purpose.
- Write effectively using Standard English, adapting their writing for a range of purposes and audience.
- Use sentences, paragraphs and whole texts with accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation.
