- The module seeks to increase student's knowledge and understanding of the processes of business creativity and accompanying organisational changes and developments.
Content
- The implications of contextual change in the business environment.
- Formalistic management approaches (Marketing; IT; Quality; E-Business).
- Essentials of business creativity.
- The pursuit of value.
- Holistic management approaches (new organisational model; new ways of managing people).
- Leadership and management of change.
- Framing and enacting of organisational change.
- Organisational Development interventions.
- Managing in times of change.
Learning Outcomes
Subject-specific Knowledge:
- At the conclusion of the module, students should:
- Have knowledge and understanding of the need for and management responses to change.
- Comprehend the complexity of framing and enacting organisational change.

Modes of Teaching, Learning and Assessment and how these contribute to the learning outcomes of the module
- Teaching is by lectures and seminars. Learning takes place through attendance at lectures, preparation for and participation in seminars, and private study. Formative assessment is by means of a contribution to a group presentation. Summative assessment is by means of a written examination and a written assignment.
