Aims
- The purpose of this module is to introduce the issues surrounding the Internet. These issues range from the technological through to the social and cultural.
Content
- ownership and administration;

- protocols.
Learning Outcomes
Subject-specific Knowledge:
- to understand the basic issues surrounding the Internet;
- to understand how security impinges upon data in the Internet;

- to have gained experience of handling and structuring data within the context of the Internet.

- Lecturing demonstrates what is required to be learned and the application of the theory to practical examples. Problem classes through practicals provide assessment (both formative and summative) to guide students in the correct development of their knowledge and skills. Tutorials provide active engagement and feedback to the learning process.
