- To help students develop an understanding of Christian Doctrine and an appreciation of its importance To help students articulate the Christian faith clearly To provide a foundation for theological reflection on contemporary issues

- The Nature of Christ
- The Cross, Resurrection and Ascension of Christ
- The Holy Spirit
- The Kingdom of God, the Mission of God and the Church
- Baptism, Eucharist, Ministry
- The Last Things
Learning Outcomes
Subject-specific Knowledge:
- By the end of the module students will:
- have a working knowledge of Christian Doctrine
- appreciate factors which have contributed to its development and expression in a variety of contexts
Subject-specific Skills:
- comment critically on the doctrines and contemporary approaches to them
Key Skills:
- be able to commend and defend Christian believing in a variety of settings
- begin to engage more deeply in theological reflection upon personal and cultural issues
