Aims
- To provide an introduction and a basis for further study of a specified period of modern history and culture, (which could include daily life; social groups; religion; wars and expansion; art; education).
- To introduce students to a range of primary and secondary source materials
- To support the development of key skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening in preparation for further study in the arts and humanities and social sciences.
Content
- A survey of a given period of modern history and culture
- Critical evaluation of primary and secondary source materials including texts, art, archaeology and material goods.
