To introduce students to those skills that employers would like to see developed in future accounting graduates;
To provide students with various opportunities to acquire, develop and apply these skills;
To allow students to get know one another in the cohort and promote an accounting community for the future.

Subject-specific Knowledge:

On completion of this module students should be able to:
Understand the key skills expected of a professional accountant in today's business environment.
Apply these skills accordingly to different simulated business situations.

Modes of Teaching, Learning and Assessment and how these contribute to the learning outcomes of the module

Learning takes place through attendance at workshops and preparation for and participation in workshops.
Formative assessment is a series of group activities.
Summative assessment will include a group written report of 2500 words and a group presentation totalling 15 minutes.
