Modes of Teaching, Learning and Assessment and how these contribute to the learning outcomes of the module

  • The module is delivered via a series of full-cohort weekly workshops to afford maximum flexibility to suit the dynamic nature of the subject matter. The workshops consist of lecture-style input, break-out discussions of special cases, data analysis exercises, and ‘hands-on’ training in HR strategy planning, data identification, developing measurement tools, and applying analytic methods.
  • The summative assignment is designed to consolidate conceptual knowledge, demonstrate planning, creation, and analytics application skills, and enhance employability skills. It is project-based and requires students to produce and submit an evidence-based people analytics strategy for a company of their choice. Students are expected to combine strategic HRM with applied statistics and data analysis to make data-driven decisions and strategies.
  • The project-based summative assignment is equivalent to a written assignment of 3000 words.
