Aims

  • The International Business Management (IBM) module seeks to foster a much better understanding of managing in an interconnected world. It also strives to provide insights into the effects of formal and informal institutions inherent in managing businesses across borders.
  • The module aim is to:
  • Seeks to equip students with the knowledge, insights, and perspectives crucial for managing a diverse range of international businesses.
  • Develops students’ cross-cultural management knowledge and abilities.

Content

  • The lectures and practical classes within this module will be organised around the following themes/topics:
  • Introduction to international business management.
  • Globalization and global workforce.
  • cross-cultural management.
  • Cross-cultural negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Global human resource management.
  • International business ethics and corporate social responsibility.

  • Upon successful completion of the module, the students will have:
  • Demonstrate a broad understanding of a range of best practices for making informed strategic decisions in the global marketplace.
